Single camera production/Multi camera production

Single camera production

Single camera production is using only one camera to record different angle shots and is used for low budget and used for music videos, sitcoms, advertisement videos and single dramas. Single camera films usually film all the dialogue within one shot and then edit the shot to mix it with another shot to create an effect of having a conversation. Single camera films are more time consuming since they are only using one camera to film every shot however this allows the director of the film to have more control of every shot.

Multi camera production

Multi camera production involves more than one camera recording at the same time in different angles and views so when the videos go into editing they can select the perfect angle for the film. Multi camera production is usually used in Hollywood films and can be expensive to run more than one camera but you can have multiple shots to help create the best cinematic view without having to reshoot the shot in order to fine the perfect angle.
